Alexana
Mosaic Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Reddish /purple in color with medium intensity.
Red and blue fruits on the nose, and medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet raspberries, light wood, tobacco, chocolate notes and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a tasty Pinot Noir from Oregon. Elegant and rich. Spicy and entertaining.
Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
Still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Would continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
100% Pinot Noir grapes were fermented with wild yeast, and aged in (23% new) French Oak barrels for 10 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$45.

Pleasant but unremarkable. Wouldn't buy again.
