Red fruit and a bit of pepper. Big, but smooth and velvety tannins. Delicious and worked well with a variety of Italian takeout.

Sep 17th, 2016Total wine. Good single grape Italian wines are very hard to find. This is sufficient and pleases. It's not amazing, but it really is decent and there are no complaints.

May 29th, 2016Delightful! Intoxicating nose of rose petals and vanilla. Smooth, velvety, and round. Better and better til the last drop. A fun young Barolo.

Mar 20th, 2015On the nose, cherry, eucalyptus, pepper. On the palette, high tannins and acidity, medium body. Flavors of cranberry and leather. Medium finish. Good wine, with potential to age. Would have liked a bigger body for such a bold wine.

Nov 17th, 2014It's interesting to note; while all Barolo is Nebbiolo, not all Nebbiolo is Barolo, which of course is an important distinction to make. On the nose a virtual potpourri of dried red/dark fruits, herbs and leather. After the first slurp, you’ll find this wine to be more rustic than generous, still it slaps the palate with vibrant red-currants, strawberry, dried underbrush, and pretty violets.
