Green bell pepper nose. Peppery blueberry spice mouth. Nice body. After naturally aerating, TAR demoinates the nose, followed by tastes of green pepper, raspberry and leather. Incredible the changes that this wine undergoes with just a bit of exposure. Pair with mole sauce and Spanish inspired cuisine, but nothing overly spicy on the heat scale.

My first run in with Carménère, the dark berries of Zin with the tobacco of Cab and the spice of syrah. Not a ton of structure but enough to hold together this combo. Fun to drink. I want to try more.

Lovely higher end carmenere! Full rich fruit with bright acidity and depth. Some baking spices and iron mixed in, with coffee notes on the finish. Paired with Portuguese caldo verde, which pulled out the depth and tempered the sweet fruit.
