Blend of Petit Verdot and Alicante Bouchet, and a little bit of Syrah and Aragonez. Plum, mint, boysenberry on the nose. Medium and structured tannins. Fruit forward and light bodied. Rather unusual for this blend of wines.

Sep 25th, 20252015 opened Jan 2024. Less complex than the 2014 that I rated a while back, but I’ll give it the same 8.8 for different reasons. Softer tannic structure. Leather and hint of mint on the nose. The sweet prune scent that was also on the front of the 2014 is missing from the 2015 vintage. Ripe plums on the front. Lots of mineral high notes that start on the mid palate and that create a long finish. Not bad. Not great. Very drinkable.

Jan 6th, 20242015 is Nasty stuff. It’s a tight chewy ball of tannins from the front to back of the palate. Sour red fruit on the front. A wave of bitterness crashes in mid -palate. Sour finish. Nice nose, though!

2014 opened Sept of 2018. Leather and dried prunes on the nose. Very chewy! Dried prunes on the front of the palate — which is balanced by a smooth tannic minerality. Faintly bitter aftertaste — but it’s not unpleasant — tart like ruby grapefruit.
