Rías Baixas Albariño

2013. Super dope Albariño from a tough vintage. Nice concentration and balance. Mineral, citrus, and firm.

2013 Very aromatic, displaying developing notes of lemon peel, green apple, apricots, fennel, orange blossom and hints of honey and neutral white flowers.
It is dry in the mouth with a high zesty and refreshing acidity and a delicious fruit concentration to put it into balance. The finish is long and complex.
Outstanding quality Albariño. It shows the typicity of the grape variety as well as a complexity provided by hints of floral and bottle ageing notes. It is long, very concentrated and balanced.
It is drinking very well now, but it has enough acidic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more tertiary aromas over the next 2-3 years.

Outside of Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas, I haven't had a Rias Baixas Albariño with this much structure, layers and character. Seashells, lime zest, river stone minerality. A Spanish wine for Francophiles.

Very pretty nose of white peach, backed up by ocean mineral/saline on the palate and refreshing acidity.
