Organic Jumilla Monastrell
Pretty light ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose cherries, sweet strawberries, raspberries, light oak, vanilla, barnyard, vegetables, spices, smoke, earth, thyme and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, wood, licorice, earth, spices, red chili, green vegetables, bitter herbs, graphite, bell pepper and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Spanish Monastrell is drinking nicely now. Not fully balanced, but showing nice complexity and an enjoyable mouthfeel. A little bitter on the ending, but spicy and easy drinking. Earthy with vegetable notes, but still showing enough fruits at this time.
This 3-year old is peaking now, and is much better than it was last year.
Nice by itself, better with food, and needs 90 minutes to open up. I paired it with Spanish tapas by the pool.
Certified organic 100% Monastrell grapes and it's vegan.
14% alcohol by volume.
85 points.

Fruity, yet bitter nose of blueberries, red cherries, barnyard, earth, leather, chocolates, smoke, cardamom, green pepper, rust, bitter herbs, spices, red candy and black pepper.
Medium to full-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Fruity on the attack and dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, earth, wood, forest floor, pencil lead, black tea, peppercorn, herbs, tobacco leaf, rust and alcohol.
Medium finish with soft tannins and bitter vegetables.
A nice Monastrell from Jumilla, Spain. A good food wine, but not necessarily a sipping red wine.
A little too bitter at the ending for my taste, but I enjoyed it with a cheese plate and crackers.
Lots of flavors, but feels simple. If this bitterness will go away in time, this wine will be wonderful. A Good everyday red at a great price. (I bought it for the nice label...)
Needs at least 30 minutes to open up.
