After 10 years this is coming together. Good bright fruit.

So, the baseline for Alban Reva is WAY up there, so my comments have to be viewed through that lens. Even after decanting (admittedly for on 30 min), this wine is really closed. It's got great potential, but unless you have time to give it a few hours, it's not going to be anywhere near where it could be (so, great instead of ethereal!).

Had to pull this after 08 Terry Hoage Hedge. This is dense and dark, black cherries and lots of cocoa, with smoke, tobacco. Something a little odd on the nose-mediciney-kept changing. Big fine tannins, ends with tar.

Loved it - gave it an hour+ of air. A powerhouse of a syrah.

Infanticide for sure. But it was worth a peek at ahem like this. Tannin for days that feels integrated and tight. Wow I want to revisit This in 10 years

Enjoying this wine almost as much as the ducks seem to be enjoying our pool. I may be about to have a Tony Soprano moment.

I have missed drinking this wine. Just a big mouthful of purple, gravel, juice, barnyard and pepper (in no specific order). Nice age on this. Almost makes me want to visit McCusker to try Lorraines.....it’s really that good!
