If you're looking for something that tastes like Nero d'Avola at this price in the US, let me know when you find it. If you want a surprisingly robust and tannic red, with a little spice and a little licorice in there, for less than $15, Ala Nera's a good bet.

I love the grape but this is not a shining example. Could it benefit from some time? Maybe. I have second bottle that I will decant to soften the harsh finish. Stay tuned. Noté Bene: what the hell, it's an $8 bottle
