Alain Hudelot-Noellat
Les Suchots Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir
07's all over Burgundy from a red standpoint really are lovely. This is in a nice place and time to drink.

Jan 31st, 2017After a day of racking wine, then cleaning the house. I felt like opening this lady; good earth & dried fruit, plus the perfect balance of acid/rock/ & sense of place. Optimum would be now, but that's my opinion.

Nov 23rd, 2014At first I hated these wines, was then seduced and finished in awe. A special treat.

1999. Formidable. I loved the tension and boiling energy underneath the calm and impenetrable.

Jul 21st, 2015Upon pouring, there was a lot of funk, mushroom, perhaps even cardboard smell. Someone had mentioned its corked but we decided to let it breathe in the bottle for 2-3 hours. Glad we didn't give up on it because on the second try, the wine was full of bright red cherries with candy/herbal notes and flowers. The same person who said it was corked now said this was a Rousseau. I can see why, but there was sandalwood and airiness that pointed to Vosne Romanee. I'm a fan of Hudelot Noellat, but I didn't know it would become this lovely.
