Vintage 2012 | dark colour, beautiful wine. Tasted this blind next to a Spätburgunder from the Ahr and a rightbank Bordeaux, thought it would blow the other wines away… but it did not. Perhaps a tad too old?

Magnum. Was great. Meaty spice, dark fruits, earth and pepper once it opened a bit. Christmas dinner wine with prime rib.

W/ dinner at FT33.. really gamey and funky on the nose out of the gate, lifted red fruit and slight oak on palate.. opened up with time and really sang.

This is the definition of cool climate Syrah. Violets, black pepper, and smoked meat. So much going on, yet so much delicacy. I could drink this every day
