This is a big, sophisticated red with chalky tannic structure. The flavors up front are a burst of star anise and passionflower, followed by a lingering black currant mineral finish. The tongue practically sizzles after each sip.

May 3rd, 2018Perhaps the best Clarksburg Cab of my experience, this medium bodied red is a very different take than your typical Napa or Sonoma Cab: blueberries and licorice up front with some spice and coffee in a dusty finish. We enjoyed this with seared Provencal steak, three bean salad, and feta couscous.

Jan 24th, 2017A superlative cocktail wine, this Cabernet demonstrates the unique terroir of Clarksburg: medium bodied, slightly gritty tannins, and a touch of citric acidity. Flavors are more blueberry and blackberry than cherry. It is easy drinking and a great cocktail wine.
