This was far more vibrant a year ago. Faux cork closure is what's killing it so quickly, I suspect.

Dessert at Bilacus in Bellagio Como Lago vintage VS 2004, served chilled

1997 Vintage. 15% Alcohol. Citrus and salt water taffy nose. Good acidity. Not as contracted as others but very nice with biscotti.

What's not to love? It's vin santo. Raisins, duh. Caramel, as per usual. Nuttiness, yep. Delicious as always. There's no better gift to bring to your dinner party host.

Quite boozy n a little earthy. Some fruit.

Fifth wine of the evening for the Strathcona fire fit fundraising night. A classic dessert wine. Close your eyes, imagine a mixture of welches grape juice and raisins. Boom. There you have it.

Raisony and hints of forest and pine needle on the nose. Baking spice and tobacco. High acidity. Like the nose over the palate. Hide alcohol well. M+ finish

Toasted hazelnut, raisins, and citrus with a hint of honey at the end. Lovely with butter cookies.
