Can’t tell if it’s tight & needs time/air to loosen, or it’s just a bit meh & uniform on the palate. Fairly bright red cherries, plus acidity, & decent concentration. Have another bottle to test but overall just a bit too sleek for my taste, even though I don’t think this vintner works in a modern style.

💯 % Sangiovese. Aged a minimum of 2 years. French and Slovenian Oak. Easy and approachable. Long in the mouth for sangio. Well balanced and lower acid for the region.

Really dig this. Tight, cherry, candy apple, some vanilla. Dark and musty. Would go well with some sharp cheese or good pasta.
