Aesthete
Dry Stack Vineyard White Blend
Very impressed with the way this 2016 showed. While it has slightly evolved, for its age, it is rock solid. I had loads of this when it was released, so I have a good reference point. Still bright and focused with a flinty personality. Hints of pineapples and lemon zest combine with a kiss of oak. Acid has relaxed a smidge, but overall, this is a home run.

Aesthete never fails - we love it.

So exotic. Passion fruit and guava on the nose. Palate displays sherbet, pineapple, and a hint of nectarine. Acid is taught and provides a tension which enhances the experience. It’s a party in your mouth, for sure.
Check out my parmesan crusted chicken 🐔 with low glycemic veggies. Who’s your Daddy??? 💪🏾

We think that this domestic SB is the best in the land, all things considered. Prior notes apply.
My Thai fish red curry in the background. You’d better ask somebody!

@David L put us on to this gem. This competes, and in many cases wins against French SB’s twice the price. A standout performer in the US for this varietal. Prior notes apply - get some!

Sep 8th, 2019A night cap after the Scarlett Reserve. Tasted many times with consistent notes. This is a stunning SB. Exotic, tropical bouquet. Loads of citrus fruits on the palate. Deftly balanced. Best domestic SB we’ve tasted.
In the background, our new cellar. Glass frame will be inserted in a week or so.

Thanks to @David L , I’m a believer. Loads of ripe melon, lemon zest, white grapefruit, lemongrass, and tropical fruits of all kinds; green guava, pineapple, kiwi. This is better with lots of air and closer to room temp. Jesse Katz is doing some really fun wines right now, and this stands out. I think this will age really nicely. Extremely interested to learn more about the oak treatment. When I heard Haut Brion Blanc barrels, my ears perked up. Check out @Greg Ballington ‘s post.
