Pale ruby color, with lighter pale orange hues to the edges. In the beginning it was very unique on the nose, which evolved well after a day or so. Beautiful perfume, with hints of cinnamon, blood orange, expressive red florals, raspberry sugar, and maybe even a little pastry maybe? If the nose is perfumed, The palate is much more “manly, still very young, so the tannins are real grippy, with prominent leather, maybe some tar, a very spicy, with a notes of underripe strawberry, plum and brandy, over a long finish that shows iron, like raw red meat or blood, with hints of eucalyptus or mint.

Cherry and cinnamon sugar aroma. Malic upfront that has a quick pop of black tea like tannins. Allspice on the mid pallet but the finish is quick flavor wise but the black pepper heat builds up

By Rhys Vineyards—their Italian varietal project. Light hardly penetrates. Nose shows over ripened blackberry, tart cherry, herbs wafting in from country air—and an unfortunate sour smell that reminds me of mass produced wine. Palette shows characteristic low tannin, high acid.
