Had an interesting whiskey nose when first opened, that burned off over time. After resting almost an hour, it's showing a distinct earthiness on the nose with dark dense color (almost opaque) and dark fruit flavors with a hint of citrus peel.

An elegant and restrained nose, this is a pretty Pinot up front with notes of red berries, earth and plum, a firm full body has plenty of tannin still buried in the wines full bodied texture.

Almost 200 dollars? I just don't see it. It has a flat body compared to the younger wines in their lineup. It also has a plum flavor that borders on artificial.
