Accendo Cellars
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Former owners of Araujo make this label since they sold Araujo to Chateau Latour.
Same Winemaker they had at Araujo. I am not sure many of the PBF&W attendees had any idea what was in this bottle. If they had, over two events in two days, their pouring table would have been constantly overwhelmed. Really good. Add two-points with another 8-12 years of bottle age.
Paired nicely with the Wagyu Beef Tataki.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is just as magnificent as it was last year. Dark, sensual and enveloping, the 2018 possesses off the charts intensity and fabulous balance. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and licorice all build over time, but it is the wine's mind-blowing intensity and pedigree that are once again so alluring. The 2018 is quite simply regal. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

Had a glass of this at the platinum tent at Bottle Rock this year (2019). Legit made my eyes rollback in pure, pure drinking pleasure.

A wine of precision, nuance and tension, Accendo's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon continues to grow in bottle. There is a sense of translucent vibrancy in the 2014 that is especially admirable. Red and purplish-toned fruit, lavender, mint and crushed rocks are all beautifully delineated, but it is the wine's shape and drive that I find most alluring today. This is a fabulous showing. Apr 12th, 2018Showing frightfully young with a bit of aggressive wood tannins.
I dig the structure so think it has great future potential and will show much better in just a few years.

The newest project from Bart and Daphne Araujo. They've reassembled most of their original team from Araujo, and it shows. This is one of those wines that defines "expensive Napa cab".
