Acacia
St. Clair Vineyards Pinot Noir
Carneros, North Coast, California, USA
From magnum. What a great surprise. Lots of life here with bright cherries and dusty spices.
Perfect with our Thanksgiving feast.

Blinded by the White! classic pinot nose w/ tricky mid palate weightiness. Lovely. And most certainly not 100% pinot, maybe some zin?

Nov 27th, 2014Another wine with a damaged label - hence unsalable - from the earthquake this past Sunday that I have the pleasure of obsolescing. Gorgeous red fruit aromatics with scintillating acidity. Perfect condition. Superb structure for aging - still has firm acidity and enough bright fruit to fill it out. Vintage 2008 tasting in Aug 2014.

Beautiful and very much alive. The fruit is still bright and beautiful spice. Cedar. Raspberry. Yum.

May 22nd, 2017Thought by RC to be dead but really excellent. Probably fruit forward in youth but now nicely resolved and full of earthy secondary notes of dark fruits and minerals and earth. Long finish and fragrant nose of ripe fruits. Gerhard Revere dinner 8/21/26.
