Sep 14th, 2020It’s hard not to love this wine. We should have decanted and probably drank this before dinner as opposed to force fitting it into the dinner. Could have held back since I suspected this would happen but I’m of the opinion that time is short and holding for the perfect moment that may not happen is not worth the risk. Pour and enjoy even if it’s not at the apex.

Apr 22nd, 2025Very dark color. Lots of fine sediment. Needed a decant and an hour but still not the best Abreu. It’s was inward and heavy with muted black fruits.

Jan 31st, 2018Parker gives this a 99. Maybe but it needs 10 years. Certainly has the acidity to get there. Put this one away. I was hopeful but disappointed in how it showed.
