Jan 1st, 2019Surprising for its contemporary posture at such a young age. Lovely soft notes of maraschino cherries and cedar on the nose. The palate is restrained, soft and rounded. Tannins are supple, and are already integrated. Really nice length and harmonious finish. Ready to drink now.

Wonderful full-bodied wine. Served it with braised pork cheek and it was a home run. Lots of red fruit with nice mineral notes. Will buy it whenever I see it.

Had this Aalto half a year ago and difference in bottle age clearly shows. Elegant and refined but still quite some power. Some additional time and it will be terrific!

Genius play on old terroir and modern style of wine... Lots of body, silky, strong tannings, good finish. The kind of wine you enjoy more and more with each sip.

Absolutely phenomenal wine. Pure Tempranillo from 40 - 80 year old vines with some younger juice to add liveliness. Aged 18 months in oak. Candied red fruit, licorice, hints of vanilla and smoke. Evolves in the glass. 2016 vintage on Oct 22, 2019
