Santa Barbara Highlands Grenache
Dark fruit and rose water. Nice Structure. Not too fruity like new world Grenache can be. More like a Southern Rhone.

Mar 19th, 2016Great Tuesday night cool climate Grenache. Giving it an extra tenth of a point here because this producer sells half bottles of these, perfect for a weeknight.

Feb 14th, 2018Out of half bottle. Alcohol was more noticeable than in prior bottles I've had but love the bright fruit.

Santa Barbara Highlands
Color - clear ruby, pretty surprised at how translucent this was actually
Holy shit, what a wine! Easily in the top 5 wines I drank this year
Nose - strawberries, cherries, array of red fruit, slight spice, lovely nose but not overly complex, very subtle in my opinion
Palate - everything that was on the nose but much more amplified! A little bit of creaminess that I haven't really experienced in a red like this before. Tiny bit of oak and vanilla but very tertiary. Seriously delicious stuff, way too easy to drink! And it hasn't even been open that long...shit I need to get more of this.
I would absolutely buy this again and would recommend it to

Amazing floral and herbacious notes on the nose, with mouth picketing acidity and tannins on the first sip and a dry finish with notes of cranberry, vine ripined tomato and herbs
