Yes. This again, I’m hooked I suppose; shared with a somm and a restauranteur. Simply put: the consensus is “greatness.”

The color is light straw, the nose has some toasty lemon merengue pie, slate, green apple, light citrus and funk notes. The pallet is better than the nose with pie crust, tree fruit, a hint of ginger, and a long mineral finish which will keep you salivating for minutes. It is surprisingly round for such a young wine but will definitely benefit from aging. This one ticks all the boxes: medium alcohol, bold, dry, complex, medium plus intensity with a lingering finish.

Yesterday at church, there were two Baptisms - a mother and her 9mo-old baby, together. As is tradition, the baby was carried down the aisle and shown to the congregation. When she got to me, I gave her a big smile - and then this little tiny baby waved to me (and she instinctively had the beauty queen cupped hand thing down!) The whole church erupted in laughter, and of course I waved back. Sometimes the smallest actions make the most impact and make the important people in your life feel so special and loved. Sometimes if you take 5min out of your day and give it a little thought, you can make the other 1,435 that much more fulfilled. In an attempt to "hang" with my wine distributor friend tonight, I ventured out of my comfort zone with this syrah grenache blend and was pleasantly surprised. RP-kissed this one for a reason - big and bold - aromatic - a very good value drinkable. Paired nicely with my salmon and spinach salad.
