The 2012 was something new to me. I have never had a blend of montepulciano and Sangiovese before but it was very enjoyable. You get a nice combination of smoke and rich dark fruits aromas. Tasting complemented the aromas with dark fruits, cherries and some spice. Maybe a hint of licorice and a taste of earth. It finished well making you desire the next sip. I think it would be great with a cheese plate which I will try next time.
