Grand Cru Classé en 1855 Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2006
A great bottle of wine from a less than idéal year. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot, 4% cabernet franc. Deep, dark ruby colouring, smoky tobacco aromas, fruity - red / black berry, cherry and leather on the tongue. My newest edition to the "cave", truly enjoyed this 2006 vintage.

Well, the first bottle wasn't so great - decided to open a second. Marginallly better, but not great. Perhaps not ready to appreciate these old vintages.
