Woodcutter's Barossa Valley Shiraz

Jammy, bright and a little hot. Touch of sweetness delaying the acid.

Fruity and very easy red wine to drink.

So jammy on the nose, fruit bomb for sure. Blueberry, boysenberry, and blackberry bramble. Notes of charred wood and meat. A hint of eucalyptus. Nice spice. Medium acid, high alcohol and medium plus tannin. I think it would do well with a few years and a nice barbecued hunk of meat.

Deep garnet

Oak, leather, blackberry

Dried raspberries, cinnamon, boysenberry, graphite, pepper

Medium acidity, medium + tannin, moderate to long finish

Liked it and want to try again.

Good entry level Aussie Shiraz, definitely has that Barossa backbone.

2021 vintage. Lovely dry, peppery, rich. Drink immediately, loses its edge with 24 hours to breathe

Color of inky purple. Nice many leg. Nose is bold with ample acidity, dark fruits, strawberries, tobacco leaves, brown sugar, and ripe grapes. Taste of follows the nose with addition of black pepper note, mouthfeel, low tannins, more strawberry and mix if sweetness and acidity. Flavors are plenty. Aftertaste shows more warmth and hickory note. Nicely done.

Classic Aussie Shiraz! Medium plus depth with dark fruit and a hint of spice. Very nice.
