Jordi Miro
Terra Alta Garnatxa Blanca
Not sure if the skin contact regimen has changed or this wine simply ages with a different curve that I might expect but my notes for this younger vintage vary widely from previously posted ones.
This starts with a very pale lemon yellow color.
Nose is slightly malic/green apple and citric, it does not show any wood, oxidative or nutty tones to me. The palate while texturally rich due to higher alcohol is also unharmoniously acidic. And while Garnacha does tend to accumulate sugars, the very strange balance here for me of ripe alcohol with nearly green acids is distasteful.
