Frank Cornelissen
Munjebel Terre Siciliane Bianco Carricante Blend
I’ve had younger vintages that were far more mineral driven, but this acts more like a dry orange wine than a dry white. The nose is funky, slightly musky, but with notes of peach rind, maybe slightly cooked leeks, but overall not overly pungent. Medium to full bodied, dry palate, with notes of tangerine, chopstick wood, maybe artificial lemon flavor, and lingering tang that sits with you for a while. Good, though it wouldn’t be what I seek out as a pairing for sashimi again.
