Les Noisetiers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Catching up on some recent TNs. Bought off the Manta list at the Mauna Kea. Light and tight. Decent fruit and good acidity. Still a baby.

Vanilla, oak, toasted brioche, coconut macaroon. Lactic. Some sweet tropical fruit on the nose. Good acid and body, and a mineral twang. Meets and exceeds expectations for a classic, well-constructed oaked Cali chard... flirts with but isn’t overdone. Very enjoyable even if it may not speak all that much to soil or season.

A compelling chard with gobs of peach, pear and a nose of honeysuckle. Stops right before going over the top. Superb. Fresh.

Good but not the stellar ones I’m used to

Paired well with Central Park playground and watching kiddos launch the stomp rocket.

Rides a beautiful line between sweet oak spices and malo and that refreshing citrus-squeezed Sonoma Coast acid. Lightly fined. Cool lambent haze.

Outstanding. Fruit, balanced oak, mellow yet vibrant. Beautiful pale lemon yellow color. Age worthy

Very good

Good for white. Went well with Halibut.

Elegant and refreshing. Lemons predominate, but you can also taste chamomile, pear, honeysuckle, and a bit of papaya. Long, satisfying finish.
