Deep ruby, bold wine with ripe cherries aroma, blackcurrant, cinammon candycane, vanilla and tobacco. Nice medium body with luscious velvety tannins balanced by a nice level of acidity. On the palate, juicy cherries, blackcurrant, pomegrenate and a touch of pepper. Beautiful long hot finish with lingering notes of chocolate. Smooth, bold, well balanced. A joy to drink!

TBH, not the biggest fan of Napa reds, however The Prisoner always delivers.....big, bold, dark ripe fruits.

Feels like it’s been a long while since I’ve circled back on The Prisoner. I used to drink the junk out of this juice years back and now that I try it again, it doesn’t seem like much has changed, at least in terms of overall flavor profile - I know the company has been through a lot of changes over the years but they’ve kept the juice consistent (courtesy of the humongous assemblage no doubt). It’s still the ripe, brambly fruit fest that I remember, all laced in espresso, dark chocolate, and spice cake. A fun (but overpriced) blend that certainly has its place.

2018 vintage - Probably my favorite blend I’ve had. Very well balanced, not too sweet.

Enjoyed with Greg, Patty, Caroline, and Letz as we talked about buying a house

Actually solid wine with all the hype and price...kinda the new silver oak of past years. Had better Zins, def not worth the price tag, glad this was a gift.
