Atypical of the region in a good way. Not much on the nose. Medium light body, juicy bitter fruit, sour cherry cola, refreshing acidity. Light tannins. Would not have guessed ABV 14%.

A somewhat shockingly elegant Tempranillo (though I’ll admit most of my experience with the grape is in the heavier wines from Rioja). Deep red in the glass, with some trademark dark fruit. Certainly the tannins are there, but with a bit of air and a chill this is really quite good. Great pairing with pork chops on the grill.
