Last night I had the pleasure of opening the 2016 Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos Saint-Jean", C贸te-Dor, France.
On the nose are notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, hibiscus, vanilla, hints of smokey oak and forest floor.
On the palate the is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, hibiscus, spice, lighly licorice, mushroom and earth.
This wine is beautifully medium to medium + body with medium + acidity and medium fine supple tannins that leads into a wonderful long fresh red fruit earthy finish.
