Lopez de Heredia rose lovers alert: a sumptuous, big complex nose of rose hips & sour melon, sherry like: mouth filling palate of dried white peach, white flowers, & cotton wool- but more like oxidized Chenin. Clarete the style, not the varietal here; lovely texture too & a vibrant life saver orange/red. Red & white blend. What a wine. Paired with gazpacho with my wine geek/ professional friends, who were so generous in bringing this to dinner.

Jun 24th, 2021Complex, perfumed nose. Aromas of red fruit, floral notes, hints of orange and vanilla - reminiscent of white Burgundy. Very fresh, tart red fruit and chalky notes on the palate. Great acidity. Addictive. Better and better every year

Oct 18th, 2021Subdued nose , croissant like with black jam hint but very subtle. Light touch of vanilla and pencil. So full and layered. Tannins have a spicy grip but not overwhelming. The length goes on and on. It’s so well balanced.
