I hope everyone is doing well? It is Thursday night and I have opened the 2018 Mas de Gourgonnier Les Baux de Provence Rosè. The wine This wine is a blend of 63% Grenache, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Mourvèdre. The wine and Vineyard are run by Luc and Lucienne Cartier and is organically grown since the 1950's when the first planted the vineyard.
On the nose I find strawberry, orange rind, blood orange, red plum, red currant, herbs and minerals.
On the palate is strawberry, blood orange, red plum, red currant, herbs and a good minerality.
This wine is light to medium bodied with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and medium + acidity that leads into a medium + citrus, mineraly driven finish. Let's all have a great weekend and please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷
