Lucious and a bit opulent palate with aromas and flavors or Kirsh and stewed strawberries make this a concentrated Pinot. Velvety tannins and a medium-full body make for a nice palate.

Hour decant. A beguiling medium ruby red color. On the nose: expressive notes of dark cherries, smokey oak, wet teabag, iron, cedar. Taste: luscious, smooth, creamy, good acidity wine with dark cherry, tea, minty, blueberry, and a peppery cedar semi dry long finish. YUM!

Time for the Christmas wines. Thought I had it right and was looking forward to trying this but I am clearly many Christmas Eve’s too early. Not even going to score this as I have no idea what it will be or when. Only drinkable after 2 hours of air and then very acidic which overpowers the flavours which are there but nowhere near developed. Obviously a great producer but I’ll need to try again another day. At least I have room left for the egg nog.
