This is one silky, sexy wine - 67% whole cluster means adult tannins, aging potential and an alluring spiciness. The nose is big (cloves, tart cherries) but inviting and the taste... oh, the taste. Candied strawberries, rhubarb and white peppercorns. Might be even better in a year or two.

Classic Melville pinot. Opened it in celebration, as 2016 was the last time until now when we were all sans Trump in the White House. Delicious!

I love Melville and Anna’s Block Pinot Noir is one of my favorites that they produce. Popped open the 2016 bottle I received as part of my wine club shipment and it did not disappoint. Drinkable right out of the bottle with earthy notes and lightness. Not overly fruity but just enough to accent.
