A little richer syrah expression than some of the single vineyards but well balanced. Dark fruit with a spice and pepper note that should continue to evolve for several more years.

Bigger fan of the last two vintages of this wine. Most likely will improve with more aging.

The fruit is starting to mellow just a little bit but these still benefit from an hour of air. Rich dark fruit, with lots of syrah character. A little black pepper but not overwhelming and a little green pepper too. Drinks well now with more improvement short term and should be in its prime for another 8-10

A whole lot to like here. Northern Rhône-ish.

Wine was ho-hum on first day, but spectacular on the second.

What a value! Highly perfumed nose of lavender, meats and dark fruit; very approachable; perfectly ripe black fruit, smoke and iron on the palate; not overly complex but just a well made wine that is soft and easy drinking with enough tannin and acid.

Love Bedrock wine. Sadly finding this 2016 unremarkable. Jammy, little structure. Comes off flat and flabby. Wondering if a shipping issue. Again. Have a few more bottles so time will tell. I suspect shipping - I’ve had major shipping issues w Bedrock. They also promised to remedy a prior shipping issue and then never did. But that’s another story - and reason enough to drink more Carlisle!
