Clos St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Lovely dark fruit. Fresh and supple. All dark stuff with games tangy notes. This is a great and classic bottle. Usually the WOTN, but alongside the Chambertin and the Beze it seems a touch simple. However this is fucking awesome. It’s just a tad shorter

Deep, dense and powerful. Shockingly young. Needs a lot of air to find the more finessed side of its personality. Superb.

Still a baby. But great! Powerful & structured.

Sometimes keeps up with the GC's but today overshadowed a bit. Still a very good bottle.

fabulous and not yet tertiary. Long way to go but drinking well. Grand cru quality.

1999 Domaine A. Rousseau Clos St. Jacques Gevrey Chambertin. Dinner w K at B. Let it open in glass for close to an hour. Needed it. Super tight at first and then opened up. Really great once it did.
