Bussia Dardi Le Rose Barolo Nebbiolo

Still young, took some time to open up but lovely. Beautiful nose - red roses, tobacco, cherry.

Pretty delicious and open for young Barolo

The nose was wonderfully perfumed, showing sweet cherry and strawberry with dusty spices, rosy floral tones, orange zest, hints of mint and underbrush. On the palate, I found feminine textures as juicy acidity added thrust with notes of dried strawberry, inner florals and moist earth tones filling the senses. Grippy tannin mounted with each sip, drying it's red berry fruits as they saturated the palate throughout the finish, along with lingering spice and red licorice which seemed to last for well over a minute.

I can only imagine how good this will be as it's textures fill out over time. For now it's incredibly pretty, refined and slightly understated.

A stunning wine and one of the best values in Barolo today....50 euros off the list. Are you kidding? What a wine....At the new Campamac in Barbaresco....

Roasted dusty herbs - bay leaf, rosemary, black pepper, crushed stones. Some Brett and VA. Faint tart cherry, tomato, and mint on the palate. Searing acidity, elevated tannins.

A beautiful wine at just the right maturity for me. Tannins have softened but still there. Red cherry mint tobacco in medium wright package.

Really nice for a Barolo. Complex, balanced and not overly earthy or minerally. Has a bit of sweetness. Got it in Italy and brought back to age.

Another fantastic 2013 Barolo. Florals and fruit get through before the tannins clamp down hard.
