Feb 22nd, 2021If you just pour your Muscadet in (or with) your Moules Frites, this proves there’s so much more to this wine.
Fresh & intense, saline, iodine, with some waxy, lemony hints in the background.
On the palate this shows remarkable concentration, richness & depth for 11.5% alc and the most unassuming grape variety.
Lovely, creamy texture with baked lemons & apples, some waxy notes and a touch of oxidation. Bone dry though and with great mineral, salty depths.
This needs a bit of time to open up (very underwhelming after opening) but is amazing after just 30-40min.
A beauty!!
