So very soulful and lovely to see how he treated the 09 ripeness. Lower acid as expected but plush and silky without ever being cloying. Ripe raspberries, leather, celery. We gave it a full day decant and it opened beautifully by the dinner hour. It bears repeating: buy the producer and not the vintage.

Lyle is right— infanticide. But awesome. Opened at 1 and double decanted for dinner at 6, and it was just opening up at the end of dinner.
