Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month!
This was my first ever Togni, believe it or not. Dang. How impressive this was. In fact, had this bottle not been consumed so quickly, it would have hit 9.5. It started off with a ton of funk...lots of mushroom and dirt. Changed incredibly in the glass and revealed cassis, blackberries, cherry, cocoa. If you’ve got ‘em, reap the benefits and open soon.

1995. Thanks to the Togni family for bringing this to dinner at Mayacamas tonight. Full and luscious fruit hung on a serious structure - Spring Mountain all the way. Red currant, bay, sweet blackberry bramble. Love. #napa

Just got my 20 yr order from Togni recently. Stored there all this time. Spectacular wine. Spicy, lush fruit, tannins have softened but still present enough for lots of energy. Loads of time left.

Very ripe, very lush and I feel it needs more time to become the Togni that I love. Drinking nicely, but I'm looking for more complexity.
