Cuvée du Rosier Coteaux du Loir Pineau d'Aunis

A bit more grapefruit on the nose and the palate than the 2014. Still a light and gluggy delight with tart berries, hints of spice and faint but grippy bitterness.

This is one of those 'silly grin' wines for me. No, not deep or complex, but floral and filled with tart, crunchy red fruit, and oh so easy to drink. Easy. Refreshing.

Having Pineau d'Aunis solo demonstrates why it adds so much spunk to the various pink & red blends of the middle Loire. Sharp hit of acidity with floral and black tea notes. Coarse but fleeting tannins. Chill it #vindesoif

Been a few years, but this is exactly how I remember it. White pepper to the max, strawberries, minerals and a tingling effervescence. Always a fun wine.
