Cuvée de la Reine des Bois Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Complex and complicated wine. A bit of sweetness but backed by earthy grain; color of dark oxidized brick, but the nose is reduced figs and balsamic. First glass is fairly tannic, the second rounder, soft and full. Full of surprises.
