Cherry cola, cranberry, dried floral, a little bolder than expected but gives it a little extra body. Nice acidity that provides for long tasty finish.

Still lively. Fun to help make this one.

Half bottle. Sang with the salmon. Complex aromatics. Balance between prettiness and concentration. Cranberries and cherries.

Popped alongside a Kosta Brown RRV Pinot for stylistic contrast. Basically a cross section of the Hirsch estate so it combines cool and coastal plots with warm and sunny. Elegant, ethereal and floral/earth tones driven, with bright red cherry fruit peeking out. 5 years in bottle has really eased what I recall had been a fairly taut structure

This was great for a spring duck dish. I hate to say it’s light, but it is, in a very pleasing way. The acid drives the show, the mid-palate is lively and shows a light extraction. Bones, no flesh. Pure, limpid, tight. Palate is precise and inviting. Tart cranberry, brook cherry, blood orange, ferns, wet earth, pepper, allspice.

Beautiful Sonoma Pinot, but missing some of the electric, acid and herbal tension that I find in my preferred Sonoma Coast wines. Although this wine is still very young, there's no denying that it's bigger and broader than it has been in past vintages. Not necessarily a bad thing - it just puts it in a different box for me.

Unlike the '14 Rivers Marie PN I posted last week this open for business and taking reservations now. 90 minute decant. Pure red fruits, red currant, smoke.
