Second of the Lamborn Family Vineyard wines at the Great Falls Wine Outlet this Friday. Deep ruby red with a reserved nose. Notes of mint, dried herbs and dark red berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Layered palate with cocoa, blackberries, cinnamon, tons of dark gravel and might even have a touch caramel. Very interesting, might just be the sweet spices coming through strongly. Lots of finesse and long finish. Will definitely benefit from a few years in the bottle. Drink till 2032.

Hamburgers, angus hot dogs, open fire, clear sky and 2012 Lamborn Howell mountain Cabernet. Nearly perfect night. Oh, and my wife was there too. :)
