Holy grail ??? Price wise indeed, wine wise ?? For sure it is good but this should be outstanding and it isn’t.

Infanticide at the right price so must drink. Lighter than the ruchottes but much more delicate palate a lot more funky, a lot more pleasant. Integrated wood , Forrest floor, funky muchrooms, high complexity, light weight, feminin Burgundy. But what a joy.

No. 6 in the Gevrey lineup of 9. Tasted blind as stated previously. Lovely perfumed nose of ripe fruit and balanced oak. Classic Burgundian palate. I thought perhaps Charmes at the time as I found the palate light to medium weight and was amazed when revealed as a Rousseau Chambertin having had zero experience with this famous Cuvée and expected something more full bodied. Savoury tannins with some tartness. Jancis says drinking window of 2024 to 2045!

Crazy young but shows plenty of massive potential. Better than I was expecting it to be given price and reputation.

I could not resist ordering this off their list at a bargain rate of $1200. This had black cherry & red berry fruits with lots of spice, earth, game & mineral. Love their 14’s as this was open & approachable with a little air.

Pair of 14’s tonight! The Rousseau was surprisingly more open than the DRC & had lots of dark cherry, berry, cassis, with soaring spices displaying power along with balance.

Cool black fruited flavors, iron and spice -incredible density that is in perfect balance on a long mineral driven finish. Excellent potential
