I'm almost always impressed by this site and there's no disappointment this time. Pretty nose, Meyer lemon and green apple palate with a malic feel to the acidity. There is a viscosity to the mouthfeel without heaviness.

Medium golden core with slightly watery rim. Aromas of pear, bruised Golden Delicious apple, white flowers, and lees with hints of buttered popcorn and only modest new oak. Medium bodied on the palate with good acidity offering flavors of Golden Delicious apple and lemon curd leading to a slow, slightly mineral finish of medium length. Made from estate fruit which was barrel fermented then aged 17 months in 35% new French oak. 13.3% ABV.

This is in its prime! Perfectly balanced with a solid acid backbone. Lemon and honeycomb.

2013 in 5/20. Another we took to RC for 15 yr anniv trip. There was a silkiness to this wine I didn't expect. Drank like it was previously a thick wine that calmed down significantly. Wish I was more familiar with it to compare other experiences.
