Sampled from a large format Jeroboam. Dark ruby color. Aromas of cooked red berries, leather, caramel, coconut and dried herbs. Dark fruit driven palate also shows notes of mushroom, tobacco, spices and dark chocolate. Nice hint of salty herbs on the finish. Good balance along with soft and satiny tannins. Aging well and still quite fresh tasting. Really appreciate you sharing this special bottle with us, Ron B!

Had the 2011. Full bodied. Cocoa and vanilla notes. Strong tannins. Bold flavor. Better once decanted for 2 hours

Very rich and smooth Reserva Rioja with black current and Port flavors, at family steak dinner

Structured liquid blackberry with a little tannin and a little acid. Amazing.

Yum! Earthy and smooth.

Very tasty

An all right meaty wine. Strong on the palate with tastes of darker fruits. The finish wasn’t very pleasant though and subsequent glasses tasted worse than the initial one. Still a decent drink.
