Feb 19th, 2016I'm a big fan of Cinsault and have enjoyed several from Bechtold. This isn't my favorite from the site. It was pretty and balanced, but a bit simple and straightforward.

120 year old Cinsault vines. Ever since drinking something by Clos Saron I think non-gnarly cinsault tastes blue, somehow. This is blue and quite damn good.

Jan 19th, 2017Needed an hour or so open to build depth under the fruit, but then delicious. Still mostly fruit with a dark brambly underbelly.

Feb 20th, 2016Delicious. Not really sweet but not tannic either. Sort of like a light pinot but with more character. Stands up to complex beef dishes.
