Aug 15th, 2020Nose is foresty, spicey, dark cherry, floor of a winter forest, so juicy and complex with wonderful ripe tannins. Stunningly pure and long. With great freshness. What a showing. Wonderful even on day 2 where it gets even fresher and deeper. Lovely hint of mushrooms in the finish.

I opened this before I went to work and just put it on a shelf. Came home and drank it with dinner. Super precise aromas, very as if crystallized. Dried cherries, leather, tar, roses, dried roses, menthol, some licorice...really resolved tannins. Acid is still good. Intense perfume. Very good with a mushroom risotto and some bloomy rind cheese. Wish I had some more. Thanks @Lyle Fass

Blackberry, light oak, vanilla, rose and some earth on the nose. Silky tannins, but still there, floral, tart cranberry. Almost drinks like a Pinot. Pretty tasty. Solid price point too. Not gonna knock your socks off, but damn drinkable and good.
